First primary governors forum (including special schools with primary pupils) on Wednesday 10 November 2010

The Primary School Governor Forum has been established at the request of school governors. The forum aims to provide an opportunity for governors to meet together on a termly basis to share ideas, provide support for each other, develop/extend skills and knowledge and to network. This session has been organised and developed by a steering group of interested governors in partnership with Jayne Jardine, governance development adviser.

Action required: Circulate to all governors and encourage attendance (headteachers and staff governors very welcome).

Seeking schools’ views on safe and sustainable school travel

The school travel specialist scrutiny panel has been established to look at how we can improve levels of safe, green and healthy travel to schools in Ealing. The panel is keen to hear the views of schools on this subject, and so has commissioned a short survey to enable schools to provide their views easily.

Recycle for Ealing – recycle your food waste

The waste and recycling team are expanding the food and cardboard recycling service. The service is free and available to primary, secondary, tertiary and special schools (public and private).
