Consultation of the future of the heads' and chairs' briefing sessions and wider central governance support

As part of a review of the impact of meetings held by the local authority (LA) officers with schools, we have been considering the value of the Heads' and Chairs' briefings held termly to coincide with the publication of the Directors’ Report and wider support.

Breaking through the barriers - raising boys’ achievement

Raising boys’ achievement day - Thursday 13 October 9.15am – 3.00pm. Gary Wilson, freelance consultant, talks about tracing under-achievement from pre-school to 16 and what can be done to prevent it. He explores how to interact with boys to optimise learning and overcome barriers to achievement.
