Consultation on budget proposals affecting school improvement, school partnerships and health related posts

National changes have lead to a reduction in funding to Local Government and to changes in funding to schools. Arising from those changes and following the Schools Forum agreement on the central retention of DSG the school improvement and school partnership services are being restructured to form the ‘school effectiveness’ service.

Healthy Schools is changing: ‘Transition Plan’ update

The Healthy Schools programme is moving towards being ‘schools-led’ from April 2011, supported by a health team within the local authority. The Healthy Schools website will no longer be available from the end of this month. Immediate actions for schools to follow up are included in this gatekeeping.

Action required: Download and save your annual review and/or HWIT before Monday 28 March 2011.
