CRB application process update

Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) has decided to proceed with new forms and the old style CRB application forms are now no longer accepted.

Action required: Please pass this information to all administrators/school business managers where they process CRB forms. Also note the interim recovery process during the holidays if an old CRB application form has not been processed.

New co-ordinated in-year admissions process and information packs

The new co-ordinated in-year admissions scheme has come into effect on 1 September 2010. The pack has been sent to all primary and schools with a supply of in-year common application forms.

Action required: Please pass onto admissions leads, admissions administrators and front office staff. See information pack, hard copy sent or online on www.egfl.org.uk/admissions, for instructions.

National Tell us survey – deadline reminder

The Government has decided to discontinue the annual Tell us survey. Individual schools that participated in last year’s survey must access and save the data held in the online database before the portal is closed down.

Action required: Previous participants in the survey must access their school’s data, using the online analysis tool, and save a copy before the portal closes down on the 17 September 2010.
