Report your school closures – free USO OpenCheck service

We are asking all Ealing schools to sign up to LGfL’s OpenCheck, a quick and efficient method of checking online for information on any temporary school closures across the borough.

Asset management planning support – premises related surveys.

The LA has commissioned EC Harris to undertake condition surveys and audit assistance surveys during this financial year. The information obtained will assist the LA and school when prioritising any available funding. It is anticipated that DfE may request condition data.

Overseas trained teachers gaining QTS

In view of the changes to teacher training that the Government proposes, including changes to the skills test arrangements, all OTT teachers wishing to obtain QTS are advised to do so as soon as possible.

Food in Schools primary training: LAST CHANCE!

The foodinschools primary training programme funding will come to an end in March 2011. Therefore we are putting on two training dates, to ensure primary schools in Ealing can benefit from this training before funding stops. The course provides practical training for teachers and teaching assistants about food and cooking in the primary curriculum.

Action required: Please pass to your Healthy School Co-ordinator and contact Jodie Stock by Friday 17 December 2010 at the latest to attend. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
