The local authority’s guidance on exclusions has been updated in line with the most recent version of the DfE 'Improving behaviour and attendance: guidance on exclusion from schools and pupil referral units' (September 2008). The appendix contains up-to-date versions of the model letters available from the DfE website.

Revised information for parents and carers of pupils who have been excluded from school, setting out the responsibilities of the parent(s) for days one to five and longer-term exclusions as well as the new provisions for the sixth day onwards of a fixed-term or permanent exclusion.
