Learning support units

Learning support units (LSUs) are school-based areas offering short-term programmes of support for disengaged students and those with challenging behaviour.  LSUs are an integral part of the school's approach to learning and behaviour support, with the aim of keeping students in school.

Ealing has three LSUs based in Acton, Brentside and Dormers Wells high schools, although most high schools have now set up an LSU. Provision varies but generally consists of tailored programmes of support for small groups of students through a combination of curriculum delivery and social, emotional and behavioural learning programmes.
