Specialist and technical staff
Specialist and technical staff provide valuable know-how and resources that support teaching and learning.
All school support staff can access the DCSF induction for support staff, the support work in schools (SWiS) qualification level 2 and NVQ level 2 in team leading. Science technicians
Science technicians ensure science lessons run smoothly by looking after and setting up equipment and helping out with demonstrations and practical classes.
ICT technicians
ICT technicians are responsible for general maintenance of computer equipment , for the resolution of technical problems and promoting the use of ICT across the curriculum.
Craft, design & technology (CDT) technicians
CDT staff work in a team with teachers, teaching assistants and other support staff to support pupils.
Food technicians
Food technicians help prepare food and equipment for lessons and ensure health and safety regulations are met.
