ICT technicians

ICT technicians are responsible for general maintenance of computer equipment and for the resolution of technical problems, in addition to promoting the use of ICT across the curriculum.

The British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (becta) has developed a career progression framework for information and communications technology (ICT) support staff. The framework is designed as a self-assessment tool, so that ICT technicians can identify the areas they need to develop in order to progress their careers.
