RAISE online

What is RAISEonline?

The web-based system RAISEonline is an acronym for Reporting and Analysis for Improvement through School Self-Evaluation.  It is an interactive tool produced by Ofsted and the Department for Children, Schools and Families.  It provides schools with information to support their self-evaluation, and merges features from Ofsted's 'PANDA' and the DCSF's Pupil Achievement Tracker, known as 'PAT'.  It allows schools to ‘drill down’ on-line through the information to individual pupil level, and save and update copies with the latest local information.

RAISEonline can be accessed online at www.raiseonline.org.  It has been pre-populated with contextual and ‘validated' national curriculum test data for KS1, KS2 and KS4 for 2005-2009. KS3 data is now discontinued, however historical data is still available for 2005-07. Schools can download a complete version of their latest full report from the home page.  RAISE online also contains the data management functions, target setting tool and question level analysis functionality.

Usernames and passwords were provided in a letter from Ofsted to schools.  Please contact the Ofsted helpdesk, email: enquiries@ofsted.gov.uk, if you you need your username and password reset or if you have any queries or problems.

Hillingdon’s research and statistics team also produced useful user guides on RAISEonline for primary and secondary schools in 2006/7.  These are a  bit out of date now but do give a useful interpretation of some of the reports in RAISEOnline:
