Summer school census 2012 and May background report
Count day for the summer school census and May background report is Thursday 17 May 2012. As usual, we ask that schools run their May background report and summer census on the designated day and upload them to S2S and COLLECT respectively, by Friday 18 May 2012.
The May background data is used by the LA to supplement the summer school census collection with additional information such as religion, date of recent arrival, country of birth and SEN type. The collated data is immensely useful to the authority for reporting achievement and attainment and informing priorities for resources.
The summer census is the smallest collection of the school year, but still a very important return. In this census, information is collected for attendance from 1 January 2012 to 8 April 2012, and for exclusions between 1 September 2011 and 31 December 2011.
You can view any of these items by clicking on them once. To save them to your computer, right click on the link and choose 'save as' from the list. Choose a suitable location by clicking on the drop down arrow next to the 'save in' box that appears. Choose somewhere obvious, such as the desktop, and click on 'save'.
Please note that it can take a while for these files to open due to their large size.
