School improvement planning framework

The school improvement planning framework is a tried and tested, flexible process. It enhances existing school improvement activities, enabling schools to focus on the needs of the whole child.

The school improvement planning framework has been developed to:

improve Every Child Matters outcomes
raise standards of achievement for all
maximise and demonstrate impact

The framework was developed by schools for schools in a nationwide pilot. Many of the 150 schools involved reported significant benefits and measurable outcomes, including better prioritisation and management of initiatives, as well as raised standards. It offers an approach to enhance school improvement planning activities that emphasises the needs of the whole child. It is a modular framework supported by tools based on remodelling principles.
