Core services

The core offer for extended services has been revised and now focuses on three main priorities:

1. Supporting parents and carers to enhance their skills and confidence so that they can better support their child’s learning.

2. Enriching children and young people’s lives through access to wider learning and opportunities outside of school.

3. Engaging partners and the community in schools to improve access to services and child and family wellbeing and achievement.

Four extended services locality partnerships have been set up and representatives from primary and special schools in the area have been nominated as members of the locality steering groups.  Each locality is chaired by a headteacher. The aim of each locality partnership is to:
