SAFE services for children (ages 0-12)

Following the successful pilot of the Southall SAFE service, three further quadrant-based, co-located integrated teams in Acton, Ealing, and Northolt/Greenford were set to be developed.

These extension plans have resulted in the quadrant Acton opening it's doors in Acton Town Hall. Acton/Ealing 0-12 SAFE is now running and taking referrals and can be contacted by phone (020) 8825 7819 or 9143 and email actonealingsafe@ealing.gov.uk. Southall SAFE can be contacted by phone (020) 8825 9800 and email southallsafe@ealing.gov.uk.

These teams' focus is to meet the needs of vulnerable families in the their local area by working closely with health services, schools, children’s centres and voluntary and community sector.

Focusing primarily on children aged 0-12, these teams work closely with early years and primary education, and also support the transition to high school, when many vulnerable children struggle and significant issues can arise.

These integrated teams deliver parenting programmes, early intervention mental health programmes, group work around specific issues, family support and some therapeutic interventions.

The aim is to have all four quadrant teams up and running by end of 2009.
