A school travel plan must meet the criteria set by the DCSF and the Department for Transport (DfT). Schools submit their travel plan to the school travel advisors, who provide feedback to ensure it meets the approval criteria. Then assistant directors in Schools Services and Transport sign off the plans on behalf of the London Borough of Ealing. The school travel advisors then submit the plan to TfL for approval.
