The steering group responsible for the rollout of the SEAL materials in the primary schools also provides the necessary support to ensure that schools rollout the materials effectively. The group comprises members from educational psychology service; the school improvement team (Healthy Schools, Special Educational Needs and Extended Schools ); behaviour services and school staff.
The rollout programme is now in its second phase. Eight primary schools piloted the programme, and currently 20 phase 2 schools are getting ready to implement the materials by September 2007. Phase 2 schools will receive support from the steering group and the phase 1 schools.
