Further action by school in event of closure decision

A decision to close must be notified to the local authority as soon as possible.

We would like to remind you that it is a statutory requirement to inform us if you decide to close your school, eg due to severe weather conditions. Report any school closures to schools incidents desk:

This information is required in order that the local authority is aware and can respond to queries on this matter with parents, the media and local services and staff. Closure information may also be published on the Ealing Council website.

In addition to notifying the local authority as described above it is important, if appropriate, to notify transport providers and school meal providers as soon as possible.

The local authority will update advice or information on this website as necessary.
