Primary Capital Programme (PCP)
Ealing is experiencing a significant rise in demand for places in our primary schools. This is largely due to increasing numbers of births in the borough but there are also more families applying for a place in Ealing’s primary schools.
Local primary schools will need to find more places for these children as they reach school age. After reviewing local birth data, the council agreed to fund a further 720 permanent new reception-year places (the equivalent of 24 forms of entry).
Plans are underway to provide additional places by expanding existing schools and via the creation of two new schools – The Holy Family Catholic Primary School (2 form entry) will open in September 2012 in West Acton and Ark Priory Primary Academy (2 form entry) will open in September 2013.
The situation remains under review and further expansions, and even more new schools where possible, may be required. Demand for new places is greatest in Acton, Ealing and some areas of Greenford.
The council has a responsibility to plan for this growth and ensure there are enough school places for local children. For this reason, we have already announced plans to create 600 additional reception-year places.
Following a number of consultations we are expanding the following schools across the borough:
Berrymede Infant and Junior and New Schools The Holy Family Catholic Primary School (2 form entry) will open in September 2012 in West Acton and Ark Priory Primary Academy (2 form entry) will open in September 2013.

Oldfield, Selborne, Stanhope, St John's, Brentside, Hobbayne, St Mark's and Wood End Infant and JuniorAcademy, Ravenor, Gifford, West London Academy (primary phase).
Plans for other expansions will be consulted upon in due course as plans progress.
