The goal of the aimhigher programme is to encourage more young people to go into higher education (HE). The campaign specifically aims to target:

those with no family history of HE
those with ability to progress post-16, based on CATs scores and key stage 2/3 scores

Ealing's aimhigher team also ensures that specific pupil groups, such as ethnic minority groups, are properly represented in the aimhigher cohort.

There are a number of whole year events with the aim of widening participation, for example; assemblies, parent evenings and HE presentations. There are also events that are specifically focused on the identified cohort.
