Ealing local authority (LA) is a member authority of CLEAPSS.
The authority pays an annual subscription that entitles all Ealing
schools, including voluntary-aided and foundation, to CLEAPSS
support.
CLEAPSS supports practical work with information, advice and
training about laboratory design and practice, technicians and
their jobs, equipment materials, living organisms and health and
safety. Ealing teachers can contact the helpline: 01895 251496.
CLEAPSS periodicals are distributed through the LA mailing system. The CLEAPSS bulletin is intended for secondary teachers and technicians in science and technology. Primary science and technology is a newsletter for primary teachers.
CLEAPSS publications such as the CLEAPSS Laboratory Handbook and
revisions of Hazcards are also distributed through the LA,
currently on CD-ROM. Other publications, such as the numerous
guides are not normally distributed by the LA, but may be obtained
directly from CLEAPSS, if you tell them that you are a teacher in
an Ealing school. A full list of current guides is available on the
CLEAPSS
website.
