School sport and PE co-ordination programme

As part of the PE, School Sport and Club Links (PESSCL) strategy, partnerships of schools are coming together to enhance sports opportunities.

The partnerships are made up of a specialist sports college, eight secondary schools and 45 primary or special schools. The partnerships receive a grant each year. This pays for a full time partnership development manager, the release of one teacher from each secondary school two days a week, the release of one teacher from each primary or special school 12 days a year and specialist link teachers who fill the gaps created by teacher release.

Ealing's two specialist sports colleges, Featherstone High School and the West London Academy, enable all primary, high and special schools in the borough to benefit from the partnership.
