Children's workforce strategy 2010-13

The children's workforce strategy (pdf) has now been updated for 2010-13.

The strategy is integral to the implementation of Ealing's children and young people's plan.

The multi-agency children's workforce strategy group produced the strategy following consultation with Children's Trust partners, staff, managers and children and young people.

About the strategy

The strategy is overarching, setting out the vision, priorities and objectives for further developing the children's workforce in Ealing. It has been developed to add value to individual service and team plans and partner organisations within the Children's Trust are asked to incorporate the revised priorities and strategic objectives into their own strategies and plans.

Identifying the right people to deliver services

By following the guidance within the strategy, managers and leaders will be able to identify workforce requirements as part of the service and team planning process. This will contribute toward a workforce plan that will support the process of having the right people to deliver services.

Measuring progress

The 'one children's workforce framework and tool' rainbow diagram  (pdf) will be used to measure workforce development progress and to identify areas for improvement that will have the greatest positive impact on every child matters outcomes.
