Department for Education returns

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) will once again be known as the Department for Education (DfE).

The DCSF was renamed the DfE on Tuesday 11 May 2010 by the incoming Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition government.

The department is led by the new Education Secretary Michael Gove and is still in charge of children's services.

You will find that the old DCSF web address automatically redirects from www.dcsf.gov.uk to www.education.gov.uk.
