Free solar panels

British Gas and Generation Green have announced an offer to schools in which they will donate and install solar panels.

These are worth between £20,000 and £40,000 per school.

The offer is availalbe for up to 750 schools across the UK.

Although British Gas have not released details of the scheme you can register your initial interest on the Generation Green website.

Generation Green is British Gas’s nationwide schools programme designed to 'empower teachers, schools and their local communities to tackle climate change through greener behaviour'.

Be aware of associated costs

Although the costs of the solar panels and installation are to be met by British gas there may be associated costs you may have to consider such as planning issues or structural surveys.
