Out with the old, in with the new

The EGfL may look the same as you left it, but take a closer look and you will notice a brand new navigation structure.

The new structure is a reflection of the feedback we gathered during the user testing exercises we carried out in July, and hopefully the information you want to access will be quicker and easier to find.

The new sections that replace the likes of administration and finance and employment conditions and benefits are:

Behaviour and attendance
Information on anti-bullying, behaviour improvement and management, EOTAS, exclusions, learning mentors, learning support units and school attendance.

Pupil health and wellbeing
Includes career guidance, catering and food, Change for Children, drugs, alcohol and tobacco education, extended schools, Healthy Schools, safeguarding children, SEAL, teenage pregnancy and travel to school.

Teaching and learning
Information on Ealing's Big Learning Conversation, assessment, curriculum and qualifications, as well as useful links for teachers of all subjects.

School leadership and improvement
Includes the headteachers' induction handbook and information on effective self-evaluation, Ofsted and school improvement partners.

School governance
Clerks, governors, committees and director's reports.

School safety and site management
Includes the BSF, PCP and PSfC, critical incident manual, emergency planning, safeguarding children, children and the media and health and safety.

Data and finance
Data collection, analysis and protection, school expenditure, funding, freedom of information and effective self-evaluation,

Human resources/personnel
Includes the personnel handbook and information on absence, accommodation, discrimination, pay, pensions, performance management, staff welfare and benefits, unions and workforce remodelling.

Career and professional development
Career progression, leading and managing professional development, standards framework, and information on working in Ealing schools.

Training
Ealing' schools training programme, child protection and social services training, health and safety training, and other external training opportunities.
