Wheelchair skills training

Whizz-Kidz wheelchair skills training is a unique opportunity for you to get the most from your mobility equipment, developing confidence and independence in a safe setting. Suitable for manual and powered chair users.

The morning group catering for the under 11s will offer:

free, flexible training to meet the individual needs
skills taught include: road safety, spatial awareness and pushing/driving techniques
small groups and one-to-one attention
all trainers are skilled adult wheelchair users

The afternoon group catering for the over 11s will offer:

become more independent
improve driving skills indoors and outdoors
develop more confidence on the road
work with adult wheelchair users

Dates: 28 July-1 August 2008
Times: 11 years and under - 10am–12.30pm, 11 years and over - 2–4.30pm
