Mental health and emotional wellbeing training resources

Ensuring all staff in schools have an awareness of mental health is a crucial part of developing a whole school approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

In May 2016, over 500 Ealing school staff took part in the training needs survey. In response to the feedback from staff, the health improvement team launched a new mental health training programme which includes the following workshops:

  • Mental health awareness
  • Identifying ADHD and ASD in pupils
  • Understanding self harm
  • Emotional wellbeing needs of LGBT pupils
  • Talking to parents about mental health
  • Understanding stress and anxiety
  • Teaching mental health to high school pupils
  • An introduction to mindfulness

To sign up for training, please visit Ealing CPD online. You can access the presentations for the workshops that have been delivered below. If you would like to provide feedback or suggestions for next year's training programme, please contact Stacey Edmead-Payne at Paynes@ealing.gov.uk.
