Parent advice for online safety during COVID-19 school closures

06 Apr 2020

Updated 14 May

The Prevent team have created a new resource for parents, whilst their children are learning at home. It includes information on:

  • Online harms/risks that exist (eg. grooming, financial exploitation, radicalisation)
  • Practical advice on how to support their child and mitigate each risk
  • Links to useful resources for parents to use.

We encourage you to share with parents, in an effort to support them during this difficult time.

Also under downloads are home learning resources developed by 'Votes for Schools' to help parents discussing extremism for both primary and secondary aged pupils.

If you need any further information, please contact Anisa on the details below.
