Social distancing footway markings outside your school

Footstep markings on pavement outside a school

30 Oct 2020

In the summer we were able to provide painted social distance footway markings outside schools,on the approach to their pedestrian entrances, to show families and students where they needed to stand when waiting to enter the school.

These were funded from the London Streetspace programme, a TfL COVID- related scheme.

Some of these markings have faded and need to be repainted. Also, some schools missed the opportunity to receive the markings.

Children's Services have very kindly agreed to provide funding to repaint the original markings and paint new markings at other schools. This is a limited offer and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you would like your markings repainted please email the school travel team (contact below) to let us know. Please be aware the length of the markings will be limited and may not go as far as the previous set.

If you have not had the markings, please provide us with a map, it can be hand drawn, indicating the pedestrian entrances you plan to use and the direction you expect families and students to queue to enter the site.

We will then arrange for the markings to be painted or repainted as soon as possible.
