Raise Resilience courses for parents

Bounce Forward is a charity promoting resilience in children and young people; supporting parents, teachers, professionals and practitioners to teach effective resilience exercises and strategies to young people. The target age group is aged 9+ (Year 6) through to high school.

The parents’ course is a series of six one-hour sessions with materials to use at home. Three date and time options are offered January to February 2021.

About the course

There is an immediate need in response to the COVID situation, to preserve children’s wellbeing and to help them build resilience. Parents and children may be anxious for a whole host of reasons, leaving them feeling stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted.

This series of on-line sessions start with personal resilience to support parents to look after themselves and to help them help their children to thrive in the face of uncertainty.

The sessions provide practical approaches to encourage resilience and support positive changes in understanding and consequently, behaviour.
