Run, hide, tell: Advice for young people

26 Oct 2017

The UK’s counter-terrorism police network has released a new video and posters as part of their run, hide, tell campaign aimed at young people.

The video uses celebrities to teach 11 – 16 year olds how to react in the unlikely event that they are caught in a gun or knife terror attack. Counter-terrorism officials are continuing to advise young people to run, hide, tell with an additional message to not stop and use their phones until they are safely away from danger.

Guidance from the Counter Terrorism Policing and Metropolitan Police for what to do in the event of a terrorist attack has also been updated.

The Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) campaign website (GOV.UK) contains information on what to look out for and how to report suspicious activity.

Download the posters below and display in your school.
