London car free day takes place on Sunday 22 September, but don’t let that stop you from taking part in the campaign.

You could run an activity on Friday 20 September to encourage families to walk, scoot and cycle or use public transport to school.

This will help to reduce car use and support a car free environment around your school, whilst improving air quality, reducing car emissions and increasing children’s physical activity.

Taking part is a great way to set the tone for the rest of the year’s activities and encourage families to use sustainable modes of travel throughout the year.

This will also help schools towards STARS accreditation in 2020, achieving 2 stories on the system, one for planning and the other for taking part.
