Moderators

Key stage 1 moderators have been trained by the local authority to look at working towards the expected standard (WTS), working at the expected standard (EXS) and working at greater depth within the expected standard (GDS) in reading, writing and mathematics. They have also passed the writing standardisation exercise set by STA.

Key stage 2 moderators have passed the writing standardisation exercise set by the STA and can moderate the standards from WTS to GDS in writing. They have been trained by the local authority.

These practitioners are available to support schools in looking at children’s work using the Teacher Assessment Framework criteria.
