The role of school governors

The conference, aimed at headteachers, chairs of governors, governor leads and senior leaders provides an opportunity to:
- Hear from Estelle Morris, Baroness Morris of Yardley, and chair of Birmingham Education Partnership on the power of ethical leadership and colletive endeavour in making a difference to the life chances of children and young people
- Consider what belonging to ELP means for individual schools and the potential longer term benefits of being part of this collaborative; sharing success and working together on common challenge
- Consider also what matters most in designing your curriculum and why marketing matters?
Afternoon session added
In response to governors request to have more opportunities to share information, we have added a new learning conversation session for the afternoon 1.45-3.30pm.
The focus of the session will be on the role of governance in, setting 'strategic direction.' For this section there is some preparatory work required. Full details of this can be found on CPD online.
