Schools must have effective systems in place to manage trees on their sites, particularly those in areas frequently accessed by pupils, staff and the public. Tree surveys should be carried out at least once every two years.

There is still time for schools to nominate their students of African and Caribbean descent for an award via the online form by extended deadline date Wednesday 4 June. The awards ceremony takes place on 12 July 2025.
