Description:

The transportation of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities from home to their place of learning and back. The transportation of adults to day centres and ad hoc journeys.

Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.

Planned improvements:

The Council works collaboratively with neighbouring boroughs to integrate the provision of transport services where practicable and provide value for money.  The Council introduced a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) in 2020, this has increased the number of transport providers and therefore improved service levels and provided better value for money.

Find out more about the London Taxicard scheme. The London Taxicard Scheme provides subsidised transport in taxis and private hire vehicles (minicabs) for people with serious mobility or visual impairments, making it very difficult or impossible to use mainstream public transport such as buses and tubes.
