Ealing governors learning visits pilot

11 Nov 2019

Governor feedback from the summer 2019 ELP Evaluation and conference surveys, reflected that governing boards (GBs) would welcome the opportunity to visit other governing boards to learn from each other.

Responding to your feedback, starting early in the spring term 2020, we are offering governors the opportunity to visit other governing boards.

The aim is that this will be a shared learning opportunity (not a mini audit) and will provide an opportunity for governors to support each other in a positive and collegiate way.

  • If you are interested in participating, you will need to contact governors@ealing.gov.uk by deadline Friday 14 December 2019 and express interest or sign up via Ealing CPD online. Please make sure your chair/headteacher have agreed
  • Each participating board must agree to host one visit and visit two other GB meetings during the spring/early summer terms 2020
  • GB representatives from the participating schools should attend the briefing session at EEC on Wednesday 15 January 2020. This will provide an opportunity to meet your partner schools and agree the focus and format of your visit
  • Participating boards to complete a short feedback form to evaluate the pilot. Learning will be shared at the governor conference in the summer term (June 2020 date TBC).

More details can be found on Ealing CPD online.

We look forward to working with you on this exciting opportunity.
