The Department for Education (DfE) is providing laptops and tablets to help children and families access remote education during coronavirus (COVID-19). Full guidance on this can be found online (GOV.UK)

Academies and free schools will be contacted directly by the DfE.

Devices will only be available to order when local coronavirus restrictions are confirmed, or if devices need to be requested for clinically extremely vulnerable children who are shielding or self-isolating following official advice.

The local authority has given maintained schools access to order laptops directly from the DfE.

Nominated contacts (headteacher or office email) will have received an email explaining the ordering and delivery process, see How to order laptops and tablets during coronavirus (COVID-19) (GOV.UK)

If your school has not received an email please get in touch with the contact below who will be able to tell you who the email was sent to. If you wish to change your nominated contact the LA can also put in a request to the DfE to do this, although it may take some time.

Once you are logged in you will also be able to see the number of laptops and tablets allocated to your school:
DfE provisional laptop allocations 01/09/20 (excel) (EGfL user account required).

Email if you have any questions about this process or the programme.
