Pilot training for DSLs - Holding Difficult Conversations

29 Jun 2022

The Holding Difficult Conversations working party are in the final stage of developing their training for designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) and need help from schools!

About the training

The training will support DSLs with managing conversations which may be difficult to approach. Outcomes of the session are:

  • To understand the importance of having difficult conversations
  • To explore skills to support a proactive approach to having difficult conversations
  • To explore appropriate actions after a difficult conversation.

Attend our pilot session

We are asking 6 schools to be involved in our pilot session on Thursday 14 July from 12-3.30pm (venue tbc).

The pilot will allow us to gain feedback and implement to the final version, which we aim to make available to all DSLs in September.

If you would like to attend to offer your suggestions, or know of any DSL’s who would be interested in being involved, please email Anisa Syed by Friday 8 July 2022 (SyedAn@ealing.gov.uk).
