Summer Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme places available

30 Jun 2022

We are delighted to be delivering the Summer 2022 Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme in Ealing, which is being funded by the Department for Education.

The HAF Programme provides free holiday provision, including healthy food and enriching activities, for children and young people in school from reception to year 11 who reside in or attend school in Ealing and are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals (FSM) or who are vulnerable and would benefit from a HAF place.

If you would like to find out more about the Ealing HAF Programme please take a few minutes to watch our Spring HAF film.

Summer 2022 HAF

Ealing’s Summer HAF Programme will run from Monday 1 August – Friday 26 August 2022

Throughout Ealing, HAF provisions will be offering a wide range of free activities as well as a healthy meal. Children and young people can attend for a maximum of 4 days per week over the summer school holiday, with any number of our HAF providers (16 days total).

Vulnerable children and young people: Applications open Monday 20 June

We are able to offer a limited number of HAF places to some vulnerable children and young people who would benefit from attending HAF provision but are not in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.

Professionals such as schools who are working with families who they feel would benefit will need to complete an online referral application to apply for them to be able to access the Summer HAF programme.

Applications open on Monday 20 June and will close on Wednesday 27 July 2022. We advise that you complete the application as soon as possible to be able to secure an eligibility code and HAF provider placement. Please note that vulnerable places should not be used for childcare.

Promote to eligible families: Booking system goes live Monday 4 July

Schools will receive a delivery of leaflets next week (week commencing Monday 20 June). Example leaflet in the downloads section. Please distribute these to eligible children and families only to ensure these places go to the children who need it most. Eligible families will need a school HAF code to book their place.

The school code will be printed on the front of the leaflet. The code will be HAF22S followed by the Schools URN. Siblings of eligible children may be able to attend using the same code if the chosen provider is able to accommodate the required age range.

Our activity providers booking information and FAQ will be available through the HAF pages on Ealing’s Families Directory

The booking system will go live to view and book the available activities throughout the day from Monday 4 July 2022.
