Free: Remote training for schools - How school staff can support grieving pupils

09 Apr 2020

Sadly, as the current situation unfolds schools are supporting families who have experienced a death due to Coronavirus and it is likely that these numbers will rise over the coming weeks.

In order to support schools in this the Schools Counselling Partnership, a highly experienced in-school provider and training organisation, will be offering free training open to all schools in the borough which will help school staff understand how children/young people experience death and talk through how they can support them when they return to school. SCP have previously run Bereavement training for schools which has received very positive feedback.

The training will be delivered by Toni Medcalf, CEO of the Schools Counselling Partnership and a trained Psychotherapist.

Sessions will start after the Easter break, via Zoom and be repeated a number of times so that staff have several opportunities to join. They may also be recorded so they can be accessed at another time.

If you, or any of your colleagues would be interested in learning more or attending one the sessions please contact Toni directly to register your interest and receive details of the training sessions once they are scheduled.
