Funding opportunities from the Arts Council and John Lyons

Ealing’s Cultural Education Partnership (CEP) are keen to share these two funding opportunities from the Arts Council and John Lyons.

The Arts Council opportunity is an extremely tight deadline for expressions of interest (a 400 word overview).

Once schools get to the formal application stages, we can offer further support by connecting applicants with development teams from one of our partner organisations. More information will be shared when that time comes.

Creativity collaboratives grant programme

The creativity collaboratives grant programme aims to build a school network to test a range of innovative practices in teaching for creativity.

  • School partnerships can apply for grants up to £360,000
  • Deadline for expression of interest is 10 June
  • Schools need to be rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted

If you believe you have a proposal that meets all of the eligibility criteria and the criteria described within the ‘Meeting the brief’ section, complete the expression of interest form which will give you the opportunity to describe your outline proposal in about 400 words. Expressions of interest must be submitted by 12pm (midday) Thursday 10 June 2021.

John Lyons cultural capital fund

This John Lyons cultural capital fund is about creating opportunities for young people to engage with arts that have been curtailed by restrictions due to Covid-19, particularly those from backgrounds that typically do not engage in arts activities. It is designed to ensure that access to high quality Arts activities, delivered by the best Arts practitioners, are accessible to all children across the beneficial area. Schools can apply for up to £5,000.

There is a rolling application process with no deadlines. You should apply at least six weeks before your planned activity to give time for your application to be processed.

Cultural education partnership manager

Julia Fitzelle as been appointed as cultural education partnership manager. Julia comes to us following a career in Arts Education, with experience of working in both schools and arts organisations and will lead on the setting up and co-ordination of Ealing’s Cultural Education Partnership.
