MoneySense Climate Savers competition and lesson resources

16 Sep 2021

During September, NatWest’s financial education programme MoneySense is partnering with classic card game Top Trumps, to inspire young people to think about tackling climate change.

As a Principal Partner of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), the bank is challenging primary school pupils to design Top Trumps cards showing actions we can take to help save the planet – and maybe save money at the same time. MoneySense registered teachers can submit card designs from their pupils, and 26 designs will be chosen for an exclusive deck of MoneySense Climate Savers Top Trumps cards.

When submitting entries, teachers also have the chance to win up to £15,000 for environmentally sustainable projects at their school.

Winning pupils will see their designs made into an official Climate Savers edition of Top Trumps to be distributed at COP26, and win a fantastic Top Trumps bundle, including sets of the Climate Savers Top Trumps to share with their class, family and friends, and a pair of Adidas Parley trainers – made with recycled ocean plastic.
