Description:

To provide verification for the Education Funding Agency (EFA) on the numbers of students that are attending a course in sixth form that funding has been provided for.

The EFA enters into a grant agreement with each local authority (LA), which sets out the funds that the young people's learning agency has agreed to pay the LA in return for the provision of education and training to post 16-19 students.

In return for the grant, the EFA requires the LA’s chief financial officer to:

  • Annually report on the value of EFA funds received by the LA and paid over by the LA to learning providers
  • Certify that each learning provider has used EFA and skills funding agency (SFA) funds in accordance with EFA and SFA funding guidance (a ‘use of funds statement’).
Office hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
