Revised NQT statutory guidance and good bye to NCTL

Headteachers, governing bodies and staff can now view the updated version of the NQT statutory guidance April 2018:

Induction for newly qualified teachers NQTs (GOV.UK)

This guidance relates to The Education (Induction Arrangements for School Teachers) (England) Regulations 2012 and replaces the statutory guidance which accompanied the Education (Induction Arrangements for School Teachers) (England) Regulations 2008.

Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA)

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) has been repurposed and no longer exists.

Regulation of the teaching profession, including misconduct hearings, will continue to be handled by an executive agency of the Department for Education (DfE), the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) which started operation on 1 April 2018.
