Ealing Council - Scrutiny review panel education: Second meeting 11 September

Ealing Council has set up a scrutiny review panel to consider the provision, quality and funding of education in the borough.

The panel consists of nine councillors cross-party and is chaired by Councillor Deirdre Costigan. It will meet in public five times and at the end of the review in May 2020, the panel will produce a report and recommendations arising from its finding for Ealing’s Cabinet to consider.

Second panel meeting

Date: Wednesday, 11 September
Time: 7pm
Location: Ealing Council Offices at Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Rd, Ealing, London W5 2SR.

At this meeting, the panel members will consider the impact of reduced demand for school places at primary school level and how this is being taken into consideration in schools planning, and the quality and mix of schools at secondary level.

Further meetings

The other meetings of the panel are scheduled for:

  • 5 November 2019
  • 29 January 2020
  • 2 April 2020

and include topics such as the Ealing Learning Partnership, Special Education Needs Provision, and Equality and Inclusion.

Agenda papers will be published five working days before the meeting.
