How we can better meet the needs of all pupils in 2024

04 Jan 2024

Things are tough in schools right now. Pupils are finding it hard to attend school and their behaviour is more difficult. Families are finding it harder to cope and are less collaborative with schools. Staff are more stretched and more stressed.

Therapeutic Thinking - Three key principles

Therapeutic Thinking provides a framework for understanding these challenges and tools to help leaders find an effective, sustainable way through them. This is based on three key principles.

  1. Experiences influence feelings which affect behaviour
  2. Equity: to each according to their need
  3. Inclusion: making reasonable adjustments to meet need benefits all.

Schools across Ealing are seeing the benefits of Therapeutic Thinking on pupils' behaviour and attitudes.

Training

There is only one more opportunity for training this academic year:

You can book a place for a school leader on the three day course 13 - 15 March 2024 (January's course is fully booked).

To hear from Ealing schools about the impact of Therapeutic Thinking, book a place on the Spring Network event on 11 March
