Two more schools join the School Streets programme

08 May 2025

On 6 May we launched a School Street for Allenby Primary and Dormers Wells High School.

A total of 43 education providers and 20,770 children and young people are now benefitting from the schemes that provide a safer environment around the school gates at the start and end of the school day.

More School Streets

School Streets allow more children to choose active travel for their school journey. Ealing Council are working to deliver 50 school streets by March 2026, making active travel easier, safer and with better quality air for communities across the borough.

Like other initiatives that safeguard children’s wellbeing such as The Daily Mile and Smartphone Free Childhood, being part of School Streets is a progressive and positive movement promoting healthy lifestyles.

You can view the location of the borough's School Streets , just zoom in to see the full details.
