ELP primary and special schools leadership network opportunities

We are continuing to build on our leadership network offer to ELP primary and special schools.

New for 2023-2024 are the commissions agreed by the ELP Board and based on feedback from headteachers:

More expert led subject networks, e.g. Design Technology, which is now led by Laurence Keel from Carousel Education and based at Gifford Primary School. In addition to the network, there will be a development day for Design Technology subject leaders.

Making a difference as a subject leader - a blended course for subject leaders, accompanied by a senior leader for the first and last F2F sessions, with the aim of supporting their own professional development alongside developing teacher expertise within their schools.

Early headship programme - a 5 session programme for headteachers within the first few years of headship, with a balance of need to know alongside leadership development opportunities.

Headteacher research group- to discuss leadership approaches that support school improvement and professional group approaches.

Special schools are joining primary learning clusters from September.
