Thanks to generous funding from British Airways, the Think Equal programme is now being offered free of charge to nurseries in the borough. Previously rolled out to Reception year groups, we are now extending this programme to nurseries based on highly positive feedback.
Think Equal is an award-winning global social and emotional learning programme designed to equip our youngest learners with essential life skills, including:
- Empathy
- Tolerance
- Race and Gender Equality
- Compassion
- Self-regulation
Each participating nursery will receive:
- 22 beautifully illustrated narrative picture books (hard copies)
- A booklet with 90 lesson plans
- A booklet with 50+ best practice resources
- Orientation training for your staff
- Access to an online learning portal to support professional development
All resources are developed by world-leading experts in education, neuroscience, psychology, and human rights. You can learn more about the programme at thinkequal.org.
“We’ve noticed that some of our interactions have changed. The children are really starting to consider one another. Of course, not every child does this all the time, but many are now thinking about how their behaviour might make someone else feel, and that’s been really great to see.” - Ealing Teacher, May 2025
We have attached a PowerPoint presentation with further information about the offer.

After this date, any remaining free packs allocated to Ealing will be offered to neighbouring boroughs.
We strongly encourage you to take up this unique and high-quality resource for your nursery setting. It is a rare opportunity to receive a fully-funded, evidence-based programme that supports children's personal, social, and emotional development from the earliest years.
